HOME-START BRIDGEND.....
Home-Start Bridgend has been working with families from the Valleys communities since August 1997. 2000 saw the expansion of our scheme to cover the whole of Bridgend.
In 2007/08 we celebrated 10 years supporting families.
Through a group of caring parent/carer volunteers Home-Start Bridgend support parents who are struggling to cope, who have at least one child under five years of age. A family may need support for many reasons including post-natal illness, disability, bereavement, the illness of a parent or child, or social isolation.
Parents supporting other parents: it's a simple idea that really works.
At the heart of our charity is the belief that parents have the key role in creating a secure and happy environment for their children. It's just that sometimes they need a bit of help.
