ABOUT US:

Home-Start Bridgend was established in the Bridgend Borough in 1997 working from a small office in Pontycymmer, covering the valleys area of Bridgend.

We have since expanded the Scheme to cover the whole of Bridgend County Borough from our office on Nolton Street Bridgend.

We have a team of 12 Management Committee Volunteers who employ staff and oversee the work of Home-Start Bridgend. These committee members/trustees have a diverse range of skills and experiences, which enhance the running and developement of our Scheme.

Our two Scheme Managers are responsible for recruiting, training and supporting a team of volunteers who in turn offer support to families.

Since 1997, we have recruited and trained 224 home visiting volunteers. In turn these volunteers have helped support approximately 835 families with 2029 children from the local community. (figures @ April 2008)
